Annual Awards

The ITSVA Annual Awards are a yearly recognition of industry professionals who have positively impacted the Commonwealth. We are honored to bring attention to these individuals and projects.

Nominations for the 2025 Annual Awards are now open. You do not have to be an ITSVA member to make a nomination, but the individual or project must be located within the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Nominations will be reviewed by our Awards Committee, and winners will be announced at this year’s Annual Conference during the closing ceremonies.

Innovator of the Year
Impact Project of the Year

An individual award designed to recognize an innovator – someone with incredible vision and creativity who expands the industry with their passion. 

This award is designed to highlight an outstanding project that demonstrated the technological advances and collaborative efforts within the Commonwealth.

Emerging Professional of the Year
ITSVA Career Service Award Nomination

This individual is within their first 5 years in the industry but has already made impactful contributions and connections, placing them at the forefront of intelligent transportation. 

This award is a public declaration of thanks – this individual has spent a career showcasing not only their talent and knowledge but also their ability to guide and mentor others, creating an entire generation of ITS professionals who will continue their outstanding work.
